the final final

Today Shane takes his last law school final! I can't believe and I don't think he can either. It hasn't hit us yet, but it will.

Maybe tonight when we drink wine and make s'mores in the back yard? Then it might feel real. But probably not until Thursday when I see him walk across that stage with his gown and cap on.

Its been 4 years of this working + law school madness. And two years of this working + law school + monkey pants madness and it has been one crazy ride. We aren't totally done yet because bar prep and the bar with take the whole summer. But, today is today and its a big day so I am just going to concentrate on that.

You will hear me brag about Shane a lot in the next month or so and I'm not even gonna apologize for it. He deserves a little bragging after all his hard work.

This morning after he left for work I went to get the laundry out of the dryer and found a card with my name on it propped up in the clothes. It was a formal invitation to his graduation ceremony and written off to the side it said "I could not have done this without you." Love, Shane.

Swoon. I just stood there and cried.

I could not have done this without you, Shane. This life. Love you my love.

This may be my last post for a while. My friend/assistant Jen arrives tonight. Tomorrow we shoot a wedding and then Sunday morning we are off to this...

I posted this morning but I guess it didn't go through. Basically, I said that your love for Shane is such a great example to all of us and that Shane is a pretty awesome dude and that you are awesome too and that it's no surprise that you ended up together. That was it, in a nutshell.

You guys are so impressive - not just the getting through law school while working a full time job, having a baby, starting a business, being involved in a church plant, but also somehow managing to stay connected while all of that was going on. That's amazing. Congrats to both of you.
